Intentional Leadership
In today’s dynamic healthcare landscape, partnering with physicians is the foundation for high performance for healthcare leaders, teams and organizations. In this session, Amer Kaissi and Tim Johnsen will show that leaders who assume positive intent toward their physician partners can build strong and long-lasting relationships through consistent shadowing, perspective-taking and realistic optimism.
Building on the latest research evidence presented in the new book The Positive Intent Mindset, written by Kaissi, and the presenters’ experiences as executive coach and healthcare leader, this session will show that accountable positivity (positive intent coupled with accountability) can lead to cultures of trust and collaboration where administrators and physicians work together to serve their patients, communities and stakeholders. They share case studies and specific take-home behaviors that apply accountable positivity to improve relations with physicians at all levels.
