Doug is the Vice President of Laboratory Operations for the Great Midwest Region at Quest Diagnostics, where he has worked over 30 years in a variety of leadership and front-line roles. In his current role, Doug is responsible for driving the strategy and execution of enhanced operational excellence, medical quality, customer experience, and employee engagement in laboratory operations. Prior to working at Quest Diagnostics, Doug worked as a medical laboratory scientist at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Doug earned a bachelor’s degree with a dual-major in biology and chemistry from Southwest Baptist University, a master’s degree in information management from Washington University, a master’s degree in business administration from Missouri Baptist University, and a doctorate degree in business administration from California Baptist University. His doctoral research focused on millennial retention and turnover – Retention and Turnover of Millennials in the Workplace: A Qualitative and Phenomenological Methodology.
Doug and his wife Tracy have been married for over 34 years, have four adult children, and two grandchildren. Outside of work, Doug enjoys working on his do-it-yourself (DIY) list at home and he enjoys playing the piano on his baby Pearl River whenever he can find a few free minutes.
