David Olson, MBA, MHA, FACHE, is chief business development officer for Froedtert ThedaCare Health. In this role, David provides executive leadership for employer services, business and physician growth for the region. He also is involved in one of Froedtert Health’s key partnerships, Network Health plan.
David joined Froedtert Health in 2011, serving as senior vice president and chief business development officer. Prior to that, he was president of Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital-Ozaukee and executive vice president for the Columbia St. Mary’s system — both in southeast Wisconsin. His experience also includes more than a decade as president and chief executive officer for Bay Area Medical Center, Marinette, Wis.
David received his Master of Business Administration and Master in Healthcare Administration from the University of Iowa. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin‒Eau Claire.
David is board certified in healthcare management as an American College of Healthcare Executives fellow. He served on the ACHE Board of Governors as governor from 2014 to 2017 and as the ACHE Regent for Wisconsin from 2004 to 2007. In 2001, he was selected as the organization’s Hudgens Memorial Award winner for Young Healthcare Executive of the Year and in 2018 was named ACHE chairman. In addition to his service to ACHE, David served on the Wisconsin Hospital Association board of directors from 2003 to 2013, and in 2010 he served as the organization’s chair.
