Remote Monitoring Program Manager
OSU Physicians Inc
My name is Emily Ruggiero, and I serve as the Remote Monitoring Program Manager at Ohio State University Physicians, Inc. I hold a Master of Healthcare Innovation (MHI) and a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training (BSAT). With nine years of dynamic healthcare experience at OSU, I am deeply grateful for the career this organization has enabled me to build.
I began my career in Sports Medicine, where I had the opportunity to work in several outpatient clinics and develop meaningful relationships with patients, staff, and providers. However, I always aspired to move into a leadership role to make a broader impact on whole-patient care. That opportunity came through the Clinic Manager in Training program developed by OSU Physicians, which allowed me to transition into a Senior Clinic Management role, where I served for two years.
This experience led me to my current role in Remote Monitoring, where I’ve been able to leverage my clinical, operational, and healthcare innovation background to focus on treating the patient as a whole and delivering the highest quality care. I am passionate about putting the patient first and have learned that through leadership and collaboration, we can make a far greater impact than I ever imagined when I first entered this field.
Technology plays a vital role in helping us better serve our communities. The Virtual Care Center I’ve helped bring to life is a testament to that belief. Whether it’s improving access to care, reducing patient costs and readmissions, enhancing outcomes, streamlining workflows, or mentoring colleagues, I strive to make healthcare more connected, compassionate, and effective.
