John Bauerlein is a Managing Director with Kaufman Hall’s Revenue and Operations Improvement (ROI) team where he oversees their corporate services advisory offering. Additionally, Mr. Bauerlein provides performance improvement results and program management services, and partnership efficiency solutions for hospitals and health systems nationwide. Mr. Bauerlein’s experience includes cross-functional and departmental program management, improvement assessment analyses, implementation of operational improvement initiatives, design and application of key performance indicators and financial targets, strategic partnership assessments, and expansion and rationalization planning.
Mr. Bauerlein has more than 30 years of financial and performance improvement advisory experience. Prior to joining Kaufman Hall, Mr. Bauerlein held various positions involving the management of financial, capital, partnership, improvement and investment strategies with Morgan Stanley, Frontenac Company, and The Duchossois Group.
Mr. Bauerlein earned his M.B.A. with honors, concentrating in Finance, from Loyola University Chicago’s Quinlan School of Business, and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Arizona. He is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
