Dr. Elham Yousef is a seasoned healthcare executive and nationally recognized physician leader with a distinguished career advancing clinical transformation and system integration across leading academic health systems. As the Chief Clinical Integration Officer at Hackensack Meridian Health, she leads enterprise-wide strategies to align service lines, standardize care delivery, and drive financial sustainability through high-reliability and value-based care models.
With over two decades of leadership experience, Dr. Yousef brings deep expertise in physician alignment, operational redesign, and multidisciplinary team development. She has successfully led large-scale initiatives to reduce unwarranted clinical variation, enhance system performance, and optimize inpatient-outpatient transitions across complex delivery networks. Her ability to bridge strategic vision with execution has positioned her as a trusted leader in achieving STEEEP care—Safe, Timely, Effective, Efficient, Equitable, and Patient-Centered.
An accomplished academic and national speaker, Dr. Yousef has been featured at Becker’s Healthcare, the Society of Hospital Medicine, and the American College of Physicians. Her research and policy work—published in Annals of Internal Medicine and presented to Congress—focuses on diagnostic safety, healthcare equity, and value-based transformation. She also holds faculty appointments at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine and previously at Case Western Reserve, Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and the University of South Florida.
Dr. Yousef holds an MBA from Case Western Reserve University and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a Senior Fellow of the Society of Hospital Medicine.
