Jeanne D. LoVette, DHA, MA has proudly served with the Department of Veterans Affairs since 2012, serving in healthcare executive leadership positions in multiple VA hospital networks. She currently serves as Midwest Consortium (MidCon) Designated Learning Officer (DLO) for the four-VISN regions comprising the north and central plains, Midwest, and central east parts of the country (10, 12, 15, 23). In this role, Dr. LoVette serves as a healthcare consultant, executive coach, and is responsible for the development and execution of a number of executive leadership development programs that have successfully placed individuals into C-Suite positions in a number of VA Healthcare Systems. As a highly sought after author, speaker/presenter and event facilitator, Dr. LoVette has more than 15 years’ experience in healthcare administration, executive leadership and development, and organizational transformation. A seasoned consultant and strategist, Dr. LoVette has designed and implemented mission-focused leadership events and programs that empower professionals to excel in high-impact roles.
She began her VA career as a Graduate Healthcare Administrative Training Program (GHATP) Resident at the Network Office in VISN 11, has served in HSS roles in national Program Offices, and in both clinical and administrative service Administrative Officer roles during her more than 15 years of service to our nation’s Heroes.
Dr. LoVette is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), having served several years on the VA ACHE Regents Advisory Council (RAC), and is a servant leader at heart, strongly advocating for the High Reliability Organization model. As a certified leadership coach and mentor, Dr. LoVette has worked with both emerging and established leaders internal and external to VA. She is a graduate of the VA Health Care Leadership Development Program (HCLDP, 2018), a 2022 AMSUS award nominee and proudly served her country in the US Army during the Gulf War era.
In previous roles, Dr. LoVette has served as Executive Assistant/Health Systems Specialist (HSS) to the Medical Center Director (VA Hospital CEO), stood up and led a facility-wide Office of Veterans Experience & Employee Engagement and has wide-ranging experience serving in interim executive leadership and consultative roles in multiple national and regional offices. Passionate about lifelong learning and community impact, Dr. LoVette is a certified Change Management Practitioner, and also holds Green Belt and Relationship-Based Care facilitator certifications.
Dr. LoVette completed a doctoral degree in Healthcare Administration from Capella University, a Master of Arts in Healthcare Administration and Leadership, and a Bachelor’s degree in Professional Communications from Siena Heights University, and has served as a member of multiple national, regional and local project teams, contributing her expertise to high-impact initiatives that enhance healthcare leadership and operational excellence. She has volunteered with literacy and community service agencies, as well as served in the music and children’s ministries at her local church. Dr. LoVette is a Michigan State University alum who loves all things Spartan Nation!
