JoAnn Magnatta has served in Senior Healthcare postiions for more than 35 years, joining Main Line Health in 2001. As Senior Vice President of Planning Design and Construction/Real Estate/Public Safety and Facilities Management she oversaw the planning, design and construction of over 8 million square feet of real estate, including four acute care hospitals,one rehab hospital, a drug and alcohol treatment facility, six major ambulatory centers and three corporate campuses. She was also responsible for the acquisition, disposition, development and management of all real estate operations as well as the security and emergency preparedness operations for the System.
Prior to joining Main Line Health, JoAnn served as Corporate Vice President of Real Estate Services and Facilities at Continuum Health, a five hospital Manhattan-based Health System, Vice President for Facilities and Real Estate for Tenet Healthcare and Vice President for Operations for Allegheny Health. She also worked at the U.S. Senate and in higher education before entering healthcare.
She is a member of several local, regional and national organizations, including Commercial Real Estate for Women (CREW) and The FORUM of Executive Women. JoAnn also served on the Board of Trustees of LaSalle University and on the Dean's Advisory Council for Villanove University's College of Liberal Arts & Sciences. JoAnn has been an active member of the both the Regional Board and the Executive Leadership Team of the Go Red for Women Initiative of the American Heart Association since 2008 and has served as Chair for the 2010, 2018 and 2025 Campaigns.
