Current Trends & Strategy
In today’s complex healthcare environment, data alone isn’t enough—organizations need agile, actionable analytics to drive decision-making in real time. OSU Physicians has developed a comprehensive suite of operational dashboards that span the entire spectrum of physician business operations—from scheduling and referrals to call center performance, revenue cycle, clinical productivity and regulatory oversight. Our customers leave meetings with answers, not more questions.
This session will explore how OSU Physicians implemented a robust analytics platform with in-memory processing and an associative data model to deliver high-performance dashboards tailored to the unique needs of physicians, administrators and operational leaders. The suite integrates enterprise data from practice management, finance, HR, timekeeping, salary benchmarks and healthcare regulatory systems into a unified, interactive platform that enables rapid exploration and dynamic insight generation—without requiring extensive IT intervention or rigid data models. By reducing traditional custom report requests by 90%, OSU Physicians was able to support a wide expansion of new analytics tools for stakeholders. You will see lightning-fast analytics performance, even across complex or "wide" transactional data, such as billing claims or revenue detail. We'll also demonstrate how a flexible associative engine reveals relationships across disparate data domains—such as correlating provider labor hours from timekeeping systems with patient encounter volumes and financial outcomes—to guide decisions around staffing, efficiency and compensation planning.
