Diane L. Martin is the Founder & Managing Partner of Macan & Company, a distinguished business leader with over 20 years of blended consulting and executive experience advising hospitals, health systems, higher education institutions, and agency operations. Across her consulting engagements, she has built and scaled cross-functional teams for national healthcare providers ranging from 1,000 to over 10,000 employees, with revenues exceeding $9.91 billion. Her focus areas include digital health innovation, emerging therapies, and the advancement of personalized care for patients.
Her expertise spans regional expansion, enterprise rebranding, mergers and acquisitions, and service line development. Diane has held senior leadership roles at Stanford Health Care, Dignity Health/CommonSpirit, Hoag, and Emanate Health, where she led transformational marketing strategies that elevated brand awareness and expanded market share in highly competitive landscapes.
She currently serves as Board Director and Sponsorships Chair for Women in Health Administration of Southern California (WHA), where she led a high-impact C-level keynote panel featuring leaders from Providence, Cedars-Sinai, Keck Medicine of USC, CHLA, CommonSpirit/Dignity Health, and UCLA Health—driving strategic dialogue on innovation, equity, and system-wide transformation. She also serves on the Advisory Board for Barry University’s School of Business.
Diane is a recognized thought leader in inclusive governance, health equity, and the future of healthcare communications. She is the author of the forthcoming book The Future of Health Leadership, launching in 2026 as a blueprint for modern governance, transformation, and equity-driven leadership. She has been invited to speak at ACHE Congress 2026 on “Governance and Transformation,” addressing national healthcare executives and board leaders.
She was honored among the Women Worth Watching® in Leadership and Women of Influence in Healthcare for her contributions to innovative marketing, strategic partnerships, and leading system-wide crisis communications and culture integration during the COVID-19 pandemic. Diane holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Redlands and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Barry University, and is currently pursuing her Fellow designation with the American College of Healthcare Executives.
