Following medical training in Seattle, Brian Harrington returned to his home state of Montana. Here he has been in a general practice of anesthesiology at the Billings Clinic Hospital for over 36 years. Diverse professional interests have led to longstanding roles within the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, Health Volunteers Overseas, and the American Board of Anesthesiology. He is on the Board of Directors for the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) and Anesthesia History Association. He is a member and former chair of the ASA Committee on Rural Access to Anesthesia Care and a mentor for medical students awarded the ASA Rural Access Scholarship. He currently serves as Vice President and member of the Board of Trustees of the Wood Library-Museum of Anesthesiology in Schaumburg, Illinois. Brian and his wife Molly are parents of two young men. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, cooking, reading, and skiing.
